What to Consider for Your First Visit
Step 1: Complete Paperwork
Arrive 20 minutes early to complete all required paperwork. Refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for additional information.
Step 2: Eat a Meal
It is important to eat before having an acupuncture treatment. It is not advisable to come in for a treatment on an empty stomach.
Step 3: Keep Your Tongue Coat
Do not brush or scrape your tongue the day of your session. An accurate tongue analysis, a key to Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis, requires a tongue’s natural form.
Step 4: Dress Comfortably
Dress in a loose outfit to allow access to selected acupuncture points. Or, a privacy cover will be provided to facilitate the treatment.
Step 5: Keep Your Body Warm
There is no downtime after an acupuncture treatment. Post session, drink plenty of room-temperature water, and hold off taking a cold shower to keep your body warm.
